Walmart Black Friday deals 2019
Waiting for this year’s Black Friday deals at Walmart? So are we. Keep checking back because we’ll share the 2019 deals as soon as they’re released. In the meantime, here’s a look back at what happened last year.
Walmart Black Friday deals 2018
In 2018, Walmart’s Black Friday sale began well before Black Friday. Online shoppers started snagging deals on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10 p.m. Eastern time, while in-store shoppers grabbed discounts beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
Spread out over more than two dozen pages, Walmart’s Black Friday ad contained big savings on TVs, laptops, cameras, smartphones, clothing, toys and even tires. The discount giant recommended that shoppers use the Walmart app to locate items in the store.
Some of the stand-out deals included:
- Hisense 40-inch class 1080p TV for $99.
- Sony PS4 1TB Slim Spider-Man bundle for $199.
- Over 110 movie titles for $1.96 each.
- Select kitchen items, such as a waffle maker and griddle, for $9.96 each.
- Select kids’ character sleep sets for $4.75 each.
But not every deal was a doorbuster. Some savings were lackluster, with products discounted by only a few dollars. Additionally, Walmart marked many deals in the ad as a “special buy” with a single price listed. Without a comparison of the sale price to an original price, shoppers were left to do some price comparison research on their own.
